Open Water Path
Maintaining water quality in the OR is critical. Unlike our competitors, the CardioQuip MCH series features an Open Water Path design for easy cleaning. The internal plumbing is completely filled with water with no hidden air pockets to harbor microbes, and sections of clear tubing are strategically located to make it easy to check for biofilm.
The main water tank is fully accessible for inspection and cleaning, and the straightforward MCH quarterly cleaning procedure takes less than 30 minutes.
Adaptive Temperature Control
CardioQuip's patented Adaptive Temperature Control uses an advanced algorithm to monitor water temperature and analyze its rate of change. What results is more efficient heating and cooling without the overshoot and "porpoising" of other cooler-heaters. This means less operator intervention and less ice.
In testing*, the MCH-1000 used up to 25% less ice and required up to 70% less operator intervention than competing heater-coolers.

The MCH Series uses a bright TFT color LCD to provide up-to-the-second information and quick temperature response. Use the +/- buttons for 0.1°C adjustments.
Touch the setpoint, and a numeric keypad appears to allow quick adjustment—or use the custom presets to store common temperature settings for ultra-fast access. Use the included 15’ (5m) tether to put the touchscreen right where you want it.
Optional modules increase MCH functionality. The Refrigeration Module adds ice making capability to the MCH-1000(i), and the Cardioplegia Shared Channel Module is a perfect complement to cardioplegia delivery systems like the Quest MPS™. Add a Thermo-Electric Cooling (TEC) Module to the MCH-1000(m), and it’s the only self-cooled compact cooler-heater on the market. The Dripless Anti-Microbial Hose Kit keeps Cooler Heater water away from OR environment, features dripless connectors at both ends, and uses Silver-impregnated antimicrobial PVC tubing to resist biofilm formation.
